The outer fabric is recycled polyamide, featherlight but durable, while the insulation is rescued Swedish wool. Collaborating with the Wool Office in Gotland and German-based company Lavalan, we collect wool that would otherwise be discarded and transform it into highly functional, 100% renewable insulation.
By using Swedish wool, we also reduce transport costs and carbon emissions. Wool has a unique combination of properties that include good warmth-to-weight ratio, moisture transport from the body, the ability to cool when it's hot, maintain warmth when its wet and be naturally antibacterial and odor-resistant.
The large alpine chest pocket is also a pack bag, otherwise the vest is stripped of unnecessary details to make it lighter and more functional. Use it as an outer garment on its own or as an insulating layer under a jacket when it's really cold.
